Monitoring our Footprint and Steering Sustainable Growth

WTTC hosted a webinar to share our landmark Environmental and Social Research framework – developed in partnership with Oxford Economics and sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia. Our model breaks down Travel & Tourism’s footprint across a wide range of indicators across 185 countries and across various income groups. It is also broken down by sub-sector as well as direct and indirect impacts. The ESR even tracks across 15 UN sustainable goals.

Treading the Path to Decarbonisation

WTTC hosted a webinar on decarbonising Travel & Tourism. In it sustainability leaders from Iberostar generously shared the steps they are taking to decarbonise their operations. Expressing the importance of knowledge sharing on this topic, Iberostar hopes their roadmap will help inspire others to implement plans to reach their net-zero goals.
