She has been involved in tourism research for over ten years and prior to joining WTTC was a consultant with The Tourism Company, a specialist tourism strategic and marketing consultancy based in London, where she undertook projects for a range of private and public sector clients from the UK and around the world. Her work included developing sustainable tourism strategies, hotel demand studies and audience development plans for attractions, as well as primary research on consumer perceptions and market trends.
Olivia began her tourism career at WTTC in the policy department where she was responsible for WTTC country policy analysis, making policy recommendations to governments in countries such as Trinidad and Tobago, Romania, Greece and Namibia. During this time, she launched WTTC Tourism for Tomorrow Awards.
Olivia has a Masters degree in Tourism and Development from Kings College London and speaks fluent French and Spanish.
